The above pictures are shots I took while working on the shed moving project. These sheds were only 2 years old, and were free for the taking. They are 8x10, but they are very solidly built, and weigh an estimated 2500 lbs. All the photos show the doors removed, but they do come with nice exterior grade metal doors and hardware. One of the sheds was insulated, and the other was wired. I got the insulated one. The "Attempt1" pictures are the first attempt to move the sheds. As you can see, we managed to slide the shed off the pad, jack it up, and slide a trailer underneath. We actually got the shed lowered down onto the trailer, but the trailer just wasn't up to the task and started bending. We got nervous, especially considering that we would have to move it 10 miles (on winding back roads) and decided to go about moving it some other way. Next we tried disassembling the shed, but it proved too difficult -- we would have had to remove all the walls just to get the roof off. We decided (after 5-6 hours of trying) that it was too much time and effort. "David's Shed" photos are actually of a different shed that we moved from the same location. As you can see, we decided to spend $50 to rent a trailer to haul them away. The photos above show us backing the shed into David's driveway. Although the shed looks precariously balanced, it was pretty solid. Also, you can see we had to cut the roof in order to fit into the driveway to get it in the back yard. | |||||||||
